Hermes Bot - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding Hermes ("the Bot") to your Discord server or interacting with the Bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

2. Description of Service

Hermes is a cross-server Discord marketplace bot that allows users to create buy/sell listings and broadcasts them across configured Discord servers. The Bot also provides community features such as looking-for-group (LFG) functionality.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and comply with Discord's own Terms of Service to use the Bot. By using the Bot, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

4. User Conduct

When using the Bot, you agree not to:

• Post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive listings.
• Use the Bot to sell illegal goods, services, or prohibited items.
• Spam, flood, or abuse Bot commands.
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Bot's functionality.
• Upload content that violates the rights of others, including copyrighted material.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the Bot's features.

5. Listings and Content

You are solely responsible for any content you submit through the Bot, including listing descriptions and images. We reserve the right to remove any listing at our discretion. Listings may be automatically removed if they receive a sufficient number of reports from other users.

Only Discord CDN image URLs are accepted for listing images.

6. Reporting and Moderation

Users may report listings they believe violate these terms. Listings that reach the configured report threshold may be automatically removed. Server administrators can configure moderation settings for their servers using the Bot's setup commands.

7. No Warranty

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bot's operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Bot. We are not responsible for any transactions, disputes, or losses resulting from marketplace listings.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Bot at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
